The project of modification to Norilsk airport with a set of small-size ground-based ADS-B 1090ES transmitters is completed.
The airport’s order was fulfilled within the program of ICAO CAT II precise approach implementation. In accordance with established requirements the facilities should also include radio electronic equipment to enable surveillance of the vehicles, surveillance of the runways, taxiways, apron, and other airfield areas.
According to the project 97 sets of mobile radio beacons were delivered, tuned, and mounted on various vehicles to transmit position information and data about status, current position and speed to Tetra Airfield Multilateration Surveillance system installed at Norilsk Airport.
