A year has passed since the official opening of the Novosibirsk Consolidated Center of the Unified Air Traffic Management System. Memorable event was held at high level with the participation of the Prime Minister of Russian Federation.
Today the Novosibirsk Center is characterized with high level of air traffic intensity and large-sized airspace under control. New ATM system allowed us to solve successfully the problem of increasing capacity without reducing the level of safety and efficiency of air traffic control within the area of responsibility.
Reconstruction of the building and technical re-equipment of the Novosibirsk Consolidated Center including installation of automated air traffic management system is one of the largest and most complex projects implemented by NITA under the program of “Uniform ATM System Upgrading in Russian Federation till 2020”.
It is pleasant to know that the first year of the ATM system operation is marked as a year of trouble-free operation of the systems and units of the ATM system. All the characteristics and parameters of the ATM system are proved as declared. The ATC controllers and radio technical department personnel of the Novosibirsk Center also noted increasing comfort and convenience of work and recreation after the reconstruction.
