The project of Air Traffic Management system delivery to the Tower of Mirnyi airfield (the Republic of Sakha, Yakutia) has been successfully completed. The work was performed for the State ATM Corporation in time to successfully implement national project “Modernization of transport infrastructure”. A new airport in Mirny (Yakutia) is planned to be opened within this project in the middle of 2025.
The ATM system includes: ALPHA-5 ATC system for 11 workstations; 2 workstations of PLANETA-5 airspace management system; MEGAPHONE VCSS in configuration for 11 workstations; GRANIT-6 data recording and playback system in configuration for 48 channels of voice communication, data and 10 video cameras; AMETIST ATIS/VOLMET system; METRONOM precise timing system; SFERA information protection system. A module of EXPERT ATC Simulator with visual system of 180° has been supplied for the controller staff training and practices. All equipment of the system is arranged in nine consoles of PULT-A series and in the server cabinets.
It should be noted that all stages of the delivery project were completed in time and with high quality. Within a short period of time the company specialists selected, tested, and purchased COTS hardware specifically for the project taking into account import substitution.
