The project for delivery of Megaphone VCSS and the consoles of Pult-A series to Apatity airfield of Murmansk ATM center has been completed. Previously an outdated analog loudspeaker and radio system was used to provide ATC communications at the airfield.
Digital Megaphone VCSS that replaced it is configured for 5 workstations and 24 interface modules to provide interaction with external communication sources. In order to back up the communication system the VCSS includes 2 sets of emergency radio communication control consoles.
Up-to-date technical solutions and developed user interface of Megaphone VCSS allowed for considerable improvement of quality and reliability of communication at Apatity airfield. Working conditions for the ATC personnel became comfortable after equipping the workplaces with new ergonomic consoles for Tower controller and operator together with specific armchairs.
